Terms & Conditions
1. Registration & Enrollment
Enrollment in 50 Acre Wood Day Camp is confirmed upon receipt of a completed registration form and payment (or deposit, if applicable). Spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parents/guardians agree that all information provided during registration is accurate and up to date, including emergency contacts, medical information, and any relevant behavioral or developmental needs.
2. Supervision & Staffing
Camp programming is led by responsible teen leaders who have demonstrated maturity and experience working with children. All activities and schedules are reviewed and approved by the administrators of Elmwood Community School.
A qualified administrator is present on-site at all times during camp hours to provide oversight, ensure safety, and support camp leaders.
3. Health & Medical Information
Parents/guardians must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, medications, or special needs at the time of registration.
By enrolling their child, parents/guardians consent to basic first aid being administered if necessary. In the event of a medical emergency, staff will contact emergency services and the parent/guardian immediately.
Children who are ill or showing symptoms of contagious illness should not attend camp.
4. Behavior Expectations
We strive to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all campers.
Campers are expected to:
Treat others with kindness and respect
Follow instructions from camp leaders and staff
Participate safely in activities
If a camper’s behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or harmful to others, the camp reserves the right to contact parents/guardians and, if necessary, dismiss the camper without refund.
5. Outdoor Environment & Assumption of Risk
50 Acre Wood Day Camp is an outdoor, nature-based program. Activities may include uneven terrain, forested areas, insects, weather exposure, and physical play.
By enrolling their child, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with outdoor activities.
If a parent/guardian cannot be reached and immediate medical attention is required, parents/guardians authorize 50 Acre Wood Day Camp staff and Elmwood Community School administrators to seek appropriate medical care, including contacting emergency services and arranging transportation to a medical facility if necessary.
Parents/guardians agree to be responsible for any costs associated with medical treatment.

6. Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring timely drop-off and pick-up of campers. If pick up is later than 3:35pm there will be a charge of $10.00 for after program care.
Children will only be released to authorized individuals listed on the registration form unless prior written permission is provided.
7. Personal Belongings
Campers should bring only necessary items. 50 Acre Wood Day Camp is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
8. Photography & Media
From time to time, photos or videos may be taken during camp activities for promotional or documentation purposes.
By registering, parents/guardians consent to the use of their child’s image unless they explicitly opt out in writing.
9. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation and refund policies will be outlined at the time of registration. The camp reserves the right to cancel or modify programming due to low enrollment, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.
10. Severe Weather Policy
The safety of campers is our top priority. Camp programming may be modified, paused, or canceled in the event of severe weather, including but not limited to thunderstorms, high winds, extreme heat, or other hazardous conditions.
Whenever possible, activities will be adapted to ensure safety (e.g., moving to sheltered areas, adjusting schedules, or reducing physical exertion). In cases where conditions are deemed unsafe for continued operation, parents/guardians may be contacted for early pick-up.
Decisions regarding weather-related changes are made at the discretion of camp administrators with a focus on the well-being of all participants.
11. Liability Waiver
By enrolling their child in 50 Acre Wood Day Camp, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept all reasonable risks associated with participation and agree to release and hold harmless the camp, its teen leaders, and Elmwood Community School administrators from liability, except where required by law. ***PLEASE SEE SEPERATE ELMWOOD COMMUNITY SCHOOL WAIVER***
12. Agreement
By completing registration, parents/guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
